Coaching to instil trust and encourages people to respect and listen to you, the speaker.
Multiple studies into occupational voice disorders have shown that people respond less well to voices that are tight, hoarse, or unclear in some way. Listeners are slower to respond or follow instructions when they come from an uncertain voice source. Conversely, a secure voice (not necessarily a loud one!) instills trust and encourages people to respect and listen to the speaker. Our practitioners are all people who have spent time in voice clinics, worked alongside speech and language therapists, and have insight and understanding into the speech and breath patterns that might be hindering a person’s vocal delivery. We work with sensitivity, care, and expertise to help make significant gains.
Our sessions include work on body and breath, vocal resonance and output, and clear articulation. We then also look at content organisation, storytelling and delivery. Staying true to yourself, being authentic and communicating with impact.
We have a team of practitioners who are at the very top of their field in vocal habilitation and projection. We can work on stamina, resonance and vocal quality, giving our clients more choices of how they want to produce a voice that resonates with their co-workers and clients, and lands their message with impact and security.
A person’s accent is a key part of their identity and should never be removed or changed into a speech pattern that sounds inauthentic. However, if English is not your first language, or if your accent is causing complications for others who may not have English as a first language, work can be done to find more clarity and a more successful outcome in your communication.
